This set consists of a floor lamp with a small table, standing mirror with a tiny table and coat hooks, dressing table with a round mirror and also a coffee table.
The main idea of my design concept is following up on furniture of the functionalist period between first and second world war. This set should not be a retro or a return to the historical style. It is a contemporary set of design accessories, which only follows the typology and the purity of the functionalist furniture.
The types of accessories I designed was popular in the mentioned period, but they are very rare in the contemporary furniture production. My work (diploma thesis) should bring them back to life and ll this blank space in todays production.
floor lamp
The floor lamp with a side table is mainly intended for placement in the living room, where it creates an ideal place for reading or for a cup of coffee. Usage of LEDs as a light source provides uent adjustment of its intensity and direction. Circular table is designed for serving drinks or small dishes for two people and also for comfortable usage of a large laptop.
standing
mirror
The standing mirror with a coat hooks is designed primarily for fast adjustment before leaving the apartment. Thanks to the ability to tilt, the mirror ts all body height. The hooks on the right side of the mirror are used for hanging clothing accessories, but it can also be used to hang a coat. Their number and position can be easily changed. Small shelf on the left side of the mirror is designed to store small items and cosmetics.
dressing
table
The dressing table with the round mirror is the ideal accessory for bedroom, where it creates a pleasant place for beautification appreciated especially by the ladies. The table is designed in two variations, differing in the location and size of the tabletops. Above the upper table top is mounted angularly adjustable mirror. The height of its mount is designed for differently tall people.
flower
table
The flower table is ideal place for growing houseplants. It provides enough space for the care of plants and also its avoids the feeling of chaos, that could occur by random placement of plants. The design of this accessory offers table tops in three levels. It is designed in two variations with different sizes and heights of the table tops.
coffee
table
Small coffee table is a versatile accessory applicable in each household. Under the circular table top, used primarily for serving coffee and smaller dishes are another two differently sized circles, used as shelves for storing books, newspapers or other small objects.
