Zahra Tavangar is a multidisciplinary designer with a passion for illustration, graphic design and product design. She studied Design & Art Direction at Manchester Metropolitan University. The inspiration for her artwork is strongly drawn from visually neat, geometric, colourful and playful sources. Only a few more influential ones are listed here. Other sources include; Art Deco, Islamic geometric patterns, swiss style and minimalist artwork such as Lazlo Moholy- Nagi's.
The logo had to visualise fluidity, dimension and show some depth and dimension to it. It all started with the initial, the letter Z. A few ideas were proposed but they were either too complex or quite similar to some already published designs or weren't quite striking. Since the abundance of colour plays a great role as a visual source in Zahra's artwork, it was quite difficult to settle with a specific pallet of 3-5 colours. Therefore, it made sense to keep it monochrome but experience with a variety of print methods instead.
