Canvas asked us to create a tv-promo to launch the new Swedish crime series Midnight Sun. Instead of making a traditional trailer using the show's footage, we made a documentary about an experienced professional who knows all about crime: a real Swedish criminal. The result is an intriguing portrait of a criminal who recognises something from his own past in the show, and a cliffhanger that makes you want to watch it.

The documentary caused quite some controversy, reaching the frontpaper and getting a double page in Belgian newspaper De Standaard. Mission accomplished! The nicest compliment we got? The director of Midnight Sun and The Bridge, sharing our film on his Facebook, claiming 'This is how you do it!'
