RUTH MARTEN: A Phantasmagoric Traveler (2016-17)

This short documentary teaser explores the approach I would like to take to a more in-depth version of the documentary, around 30-40 minutes in length. I developed the project while attending first Fran Alswang's class Developing the Documentary, and later Tami Gold's Documentary Video Production 2, which were crucial in the process.
I envision developing the film as part of a project that could combine a series of short documentaries about women, visual artists from the 70s who lived in New York. Eventually, this series could be shown in gallery installations, as well as in theaters.
