Student work from Summer 2011 semester at WTCC
This is a collection of work from class assignments. The class was in the summer of 2011 and we worked in  Photoshop and Illustrator to create each piece of every image from scratch. Everything from the wood grain texture to the scratches ruler and teeth marks on the pencil in the 'Desk Drawer' image. There are places, where I clearly didn't get the effect just right (like the way the books stand on the shelf are not in the right perspective). While the projects were exceptionally difficult and several took more than 25 hours each to produce, it was a fantastic learning experience and I'm still very pleased with my first stab at creating an image entirely from scratch.
The class started out simple enough and learning the basics. Create these things from scratch in Photoshop.
Okay, I can do that. The next week, was a little more complicated!
The Desk Drawer - created in Photoshop. The only element not created in Photoshop is the picture on the iPod; but I was the photographer. I stopped counting after 25 hours of work.
The Broken Bookcase - My favorite part about this is the finger prints  in the dust on the 'down' shelf. This one took over 20 hours to create.
T-shirt design for non-profit foster care organization. I created the logo and the new modernized family tree in Illustrator. We were provided options for models and then superimposed our images onto the model's t-shirts.
