Save Our Shores (SOS) is a marine conservation nonprofit that spreads ocean awareness about Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). MPAs serve as fertile breeding grounds for marine life to develop. They increase wildlife sizes and population, reduce overfishing, restore marine habitats, support marine diversity, and improve migratory patterns. SOS influences best practices in clean boating, beach and waterway waste abatement, and educating society about the importance of a healthy marine environment for people, ocean life, and the economy.

SOS seeks engaging content, messages, and artwork that will educate both infrequent visitors and the local community about MPAs.

Educate the target audience with facts about marine life, humanize marine life and use humor to encourage beach goers to pick up after themselves.

Our work won a bronze ADDYS in the copywriting category and was displayed at the Sanctuary Exploration Center in Santa Cruz during September 2016. 

The photos featured in the artwork was pulled from over 300 submissions from the 2016 Waves and Wildlife Photo Contest.
