This full-figure illustration was hand drawn and then edited in Photoshop. In my experience there are two useful types of drawn artwork in fashion. The first could be called 'fashion drawing' and is a communication medium between designer and garment technician. There is a high priority on the legibility of the garment construction. The second may be termed 'fashion illustration' where the priority is to artistically communicate the message of the design as opposed to being any kind of realistic and proportionately accurate rendition of the garment. I strive for a balance between the two.
