RÜT is a unique solution to vertical hanging. RÜT gives you the freedom to create the visual landscape of your dreams anytime you like. This new hanger does not require any hardware and its simple form leaves a clean look putting all the attention on your plants. This model was designed to fit the standard wooden balusters of wooden decks and patios.
This is an idea that I would like to expand further and your pledges can help me do so. I would like to expand the line to accommodate hanging on a variety of other structures, as well as adding accessories to further enhance the diversity of your landscape.

Standard wooden balusters measure roughly 1-1/4” square. While there are decks built with other components, the standard baluster is the most commonly used.
rüT affords you new opportunities to make use of an incredibly under utilized space. Renters are not allowed to make permanent modifications to the structure of the dwellings they reside in, be it apartments, townhouses or single family homes. Homeowners know how expensive decks are to build and maintain so they would rather not put unnecessary holes if it can be avoided. rüT's simple installation solves that problem. rüT lets you give a simple facelift to your walk up or create a beautiful landscape across your entire patio, all without a single screw.
Through the process, I looked at a variety of materials and manufacturing methods. I have decided to forge ahead with 14 gauge steel. Punched with a turret press from a single sheet and bent to exacting tolerances. To protect against the elements and add a bit of grip, these are powder coated with a polyvinyl coating. rüT is strong and durable and will be perfect for any environment.
