"everyone carries a shadow"
Series
This artwork comprises of faces constructed by lightand shadow. It engages with Carl Gustav Jungs’ concepts of the latter; which heproposes the shadow to symbolize subconscious inferiorities. This reflects one’s repressed shortcomingsand weaknesses which can be partially, or entirely, hidden by the subconscious.Through this artwork I aimed to experiment with the complex processes of shadowmaking. By employing laminated transparencies, I have created distorted facesof people I know. The shadows casted bythese distorted faces symbolize the deep hidden shadows of our layered subconscious.

Artwork were exhibited at Platform on 18th 2010 and ABSA L'Atelier Art Compatition 2011
