As well as being the in house graphic designer for the band from 2009 to 2011, I was also their vocalist. I left the them in autumn 2011, to do an exchange in Istanbul after two hectic and inspiring years with concerts in Norway, Sweden, Germany and the UK as well as two realeases. They have since found a new man to replace me as a vocalist and I wish them the best of luck on the bumpy road ahead.
Since we were very much in the tradition of sixties and seventies rock n' roll, I had an exellent opportunity to dive into the imagery of the era, when designing the "logo" and the record covers. The artwork is a mixture of my own pen drawings and custom typography together with borrowed elements from various sources. The psychedelic style of the hippie era has always inspired me, so it was great fun working within that visual framework. It's defenitely an artistic direction I hope to explore further in the future.
The single is still in stock from Kozmik Artefacts in Germany: http://www.kozmik-artifactz.com/shop/product_info.php?info=p6557_EXPLODING-RUBBER-BAND---Magic-Train--green--7-.html
