Sanremo Festival is the most popular Italian song contest and awards, held annually in the city of Sanremo, in Italy in the first days of February. It's a competition amongst previously unreleased songs, organised and broadcasted by Radiotelevisione italiana (RAI), and source of inspiration for Eurovision Song Contest.
The visualization shows all the hosts of Sanremo Festival chronologically, from the first edition of 1951 (top left) to the latest of 2017 (bottom right).
The length of each segment represents the number of days of duration of the Festival, while the symbols above indicate the presence and identity of co-hosts. For both persons is specified the sex.
On the right, is analysed the age of each group, hosts and co-hosts, male and female at the time they were participating in the Festival.
