The diploma project DO IT is a book based on an author's dissertation, in which she investigates the work ethic in modern western societies. This project arose from internal need to say something about manual work and work ethics. In terms of content book is a commentary on the changes in work ethics within modern western society. When it comes to the production process, the book was designed with reference to the zines and other hand-made publications. The book was made entirely by hand, including printing (screen printing technique), stapling and gluing. The choice of manual production gives it a unique workshop character and reflects the author’s fascination with craftsmanship and value of manual labour.
