The National Osteoporosis Society is the only UK-wide charity offering support and information on Osteoporosis. Its website offers a vital service to suffers and healthcare professionals alike, and is a key source of donations. The charity needed a new website that was easy to navigate, and outlined their services clearly and simply.
User and stakeholder research
Our UX team conducted a number of workshops with key user groups: medical professionals, support groups and fundraisers. This allowed us to create user personas and generate user journeys in partnership with NOS, and test initial ideas with service users.
The results informed our prototyping, which we then converted into designs for a fully responsive website.
Design
The website is designed to achieve more than an increase in donations. It’s also an easily searchable database for health professionals as well as a way for osteoporosis suffers to find information and support groups.
The menu has been structured to give an easy to understand overview of everything NOS can offer, while colour coding makes each content type easily recognisable. Information has been simplified, and clear call to actions direct the user through the appropriate path for them.
