Monster High: Fated is a collection I developed for Monster High, a toy line owned by Mattel. In order to fully understand how to design for these dolls, I decided to do some story-boarding and create the framework for a Monster High movie in which the designs would be featured. After studying and understanding the way Monster High introduces new collections, I decided a new, original character would be helpful to inspire the story line and designs. I came up with Moirgan, the daughter of The Fates (or Moirae). In Greek mythology, The Fates controlled each mortal's thread of life, from birth to death. As a result, Moirgan 'grew up' around thread, and became interested in Fashion Design.
