MilSpoCareers.com will be a centralized aggregate service to assist military spouses plan their careers through job search, education, or entrepreneurship. Military spouses (also known as “milspos”) experience career shifts when their significant others are given orders to relocate from one duty station to the next as confirmed by (Maury & Stone, 2014). When they seek employment they find that their résumés do not have up-to-date skills or are filled with gaps in professional experience. There are many career resources available to military spouses, but it’s difficult and time-consuming to search them all while also figuring out which path to take to fit their personal needs and desires.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Most of the information related to military spouse employment and careers are spread out all over the Web on different sites, through different institutions; government, civilian, individual states, nationwide, and down to the local level. Using the services provided by MilSpoCareers.com will give milspos the opportunity to research available benefits and opportunities afforded to them all in one location.
