Telma Carina Arcanjo Monteiro and myself made this bench during our last year of school. At the beginning of the year we were asked to create a real object for the school.
We thought that what our school needed most was an outdoor bench. And so we made it. We researched outdoor benches and sketched them. It had to be solid using unbreakable materials so that it would last a long time. For that purpose we only used concrete and metal. The bench could be screwed into the concrete floor so it should not be moved. The colour we choose was a yellowish green in contrast with the colourless surroundings.

At the end of the year the bench was showed at the finalist’s presentation (see next page) and was put at the place that my colleague and I had imagined it should be.
