Janamdin (means Birthday) is a short film inspired by a malayalam short story Janmadinam by Vaikkom Mohammad Basheer. It is a dark humour, chronicling one of the worst days in the life of the protagonist. And that day also happens to be his birthday!
I adapted the story and tried to make it contemporary and situated it in a Hindi speaking urban land. The actors are my IDC batchmates. Rahul Wasnik handled the camera for the film. This was an exercise over a weekend. The film was edited in Final Cut pro.
