Downy Simple Pleasures was the first fabric softener to capitalize on aromatherapy. It took a lot of convincing to get this campaign out of the laundry room, but after it tested through the roof no one seemed to miss the washing machine. The advertising landed in Archive magazine, and won a number of awards. The product flew off the shelves.
