Huge Reads Project:
The challenge was to create book covers for three Penguin books that contain 800 or more words, using only typography, shape and colour.
For this book cover I was using the imagery and type to represent the two sides of Anna's personality as it develops through the novel.
For the Middlemarch book cover I decided to use the typography to create emphasis on the word "middle" in the title through the use of a dot to separate it out in the centre.
The unusual characters were used to make the title look like a whale, and the degree symbol in particular was used to create a nautical theme.
