Turn the Milano Centrale Station into a Urban Square Community Hub 

Concept: Urban Square. Futuristic Park. 

Platform Level. The fist or the last thing the traveler sees (whenever he arrives or leaves the Central Station) is the welcoming natural-friendly environment, providing the waiting lounges and the business lounge. Eye-catching green roofs on top of the structures are improving air-quality and overall station appeal. 

Green Waiting Lounge. Provided for commuters, who are looking for a quiet relaxing space with relaxing sounds of nature. The central digital tree surrounded by LED screen can also show train schedule that can be seen from any side of the lounge. 

Business Lounge. Dedicated for business travelers, who need calm area with working atmosphere. The lounge is also providing the small bar with refreshments. The great amount of the natural light is important.

Water Lounge, Relaxing Area. Located in the central part of the Platform level of the station. Theme: relaxing water. Dimmed lights and dark water color tones are meant to create a soothing relaxing place for travelers who are willing to spend their waiting time away from the noisy busy environment of the station. Digital projection of the waterfall together with sounds of falling water to enhance the experience.  

On the opposite side of the lounge travelers can witness a big panoramic window that provides the view on the central area of the station. 

Mezzanine. Social Picnic Balcony. Separated from the main busy walking flow, travelers can enjoy their meal. The space's shape is inviting people to face each other and therefore to socialize. 

The Bar. Fast area, dedicated for the commuters, who have limited time due to the busy lifestyles. Digital tablets allow users to order food while sitting. Digital LED wall right in front is providing advertising with changeable content. Green walls improve air quality. 

The restaurant space is divided into 2 main zones: fast area (the Bar) and slow area (the restaurant). These two areas are connected by middle zone, which includes bar stand, restaurant kitchen and the toilet facilities.  

The restaurant. Inspired by the classy Pocket Park Squares. Long panoramic window allows visitor to have full picture of the main area - Central Square. 

Urban Central Square. Park-look setting creates a prefect hang-out and meeting place. Pop Up shop's and the restaurant's structure shape was inspired by the shadows that appear from the crossing tree branches. The giant Digital Tree is providing a unique experience of virtual mirror that allows users to try on products of the brand in real-time. 

Interactive LED Wall Play-set. Digital touch-control wall screen allows multi-interaction games with changeable content. Fun activity for entire family. Located in the middle on the Shopping Gallery. 

Ground Floor Pop Up Gallery. Also a main entrance of the Milano Centrale. 

Glass tube-shaped elevator is surrounded by the circular green sitting area and by fast self-service ticket machines, dedicated for the commuters.

Long hanging bridge, inspired by the native Inca rope bridges, connects both Digital Trees. Walking on it, above the trees, gives the whole different point of view and the opportunity to have a unique experience.

Digital Tree. Provides interactive advertising by in-built face-recognition cameras, that allow users to try on brand products in real-time. Outer part of the tree is a LED screen panes that show movable adv content to attract the user.
