"Rust" was a script for a trilogy consisting of three short films ⎯ 'Mandragora,' 'Marronnier', and 'Merrygold.' I was in charge of working on the concept art for the script. "Rust" as a film would features a world dominated by artificial intelligence with locations. And the story is set on Earth and Mars and revolves around conflicts among people and between people and artificial intelligence. The title, Rust, literally means "corroded objects." In the film, Earth has become obsolete due to numerous wars and the environment looks like "something rusted." All three short films have flower names for their titles and the theme of each film is implied in the symbol of its flower title. My next illustration works are for the second installment, 'Marronnier.' The symbol of marronier flowers are 'overwhelming genius; overwhelming intelligence' and in this film, it means artificial intelligence.
