The Māori word 'whakangā' means to take breath, inhale, catch breath, rest, refresh or relax.

When I am caught up and overwhelmed by life, sometimes I forget to breathe. But when I surround myself with nature, Papatūānuku (the Earth Mother) guides my breath and reminds me where I come from.
