Objective
Select and design a series of four Penguin Classic books based on a conceptual idea.
Solution
I chose these four classic stories for their underlining themes of fear, courage, reflection, and responsibility. Seeking to demolish the modern day super hero, these tales take young readers on an adventure to discover true heroism.
The design accomplishes this idea through the creation of an emblem, akin to a superheroes logo, from things drawn directly out of each character’s fictional world. Through the tactile quality of the photography, a curiosity is created in potential readers to discover more about the story behind the cover.
