Recently, ABCmouse.com has added a 2nd grade curriculum to its online learning program. During my time there, I worked on illustration, color, and design for a number of these activities and am happy to share them with you!

Designed to work across a wide range of devices, each activity had to help enforce the subjects involved in a visually-minded manner. This meant clean design aesthetic, fun illustrations and color use, as well as layout that would help a child in the lesson...without giving away answers! :)

As you can see, some designs would need illustrations that could fit within quadrants, panels, etc. while others required large scale images to engage kids.

In each of these, my roles varied. Sometimes I would be given characters that were present in other material and had style guides to follow. Others would require a more rendered approach to color to match the style of an illustration.

In all, I had a lot of fun being a part of this team and creating work that helps with the encouragement & education of kids around the world!
