The theme for the issue in March 2015 is Red Carpet. I was given the opportunity to work with senior graphic designer, Audrey Lim and lifestyle editor of Marie Claire Malaysia, Audra Roslani.
The concept of this piece featured some tips and tricks that readers could use to loose some inches before any big event, or in this case Red Carpet [to tie in with the annual awards ceremonies happening in the US]. The art direction was flat-lay and it was set by Audrey and Audra. I was looped in one day before the photo shoot to help with resources. On the day of the photo shoot itself, Audrey decided that I could take on this photo shoot and asked me to style and layout the objects. After referencing some tear sheets, we tried 2 different styling —neat and messy.
Both outcome turned out great, however upon discussion with our Editor-in-Chief, it was decided that the neat layout and arrangement will better suit the overall magazine.
