Threads
This project began as a simple hands study. At the moment I was reading Neil Gaiman's The Sandman and an idea hit my mind.
It was about Destiny, one of the endless, who carries a book chained to his wrist. In that book, there is written everything that has happened and will.
Grosso modo, he is like god, but just a part of it, the part of god that knows everything.
Then I remeber I had heard about a book were the happenings of today and tomorrow were not written, but sewed. There are several theories (be fictional or not) that state that our lives are represented by a thread that, when is cut, we cease to exist.
As an example, Jamie Braddock from Marvel comics, has a similar role. He manipulates the threads of reality, and in that sense he is a god, but not GOD. He is, correctly speaking, a metaphysical being.
In this illustration I tried to fuse both characters. We see the book with sewed pages that become the threads of the world, representing the lives of every human on the planet.

Threads

When it cuts a thread one dies. When it rips off the fabric...what will be of us?
