A knife block that is suitable for different sizes of households
This is 2 day short project focused on rapid product development and commercialization. Students were given 48 hours from concept to production. The modular knife block can be expanded by purchasing more units and connect them with the pegs at the bottom. This allows all sizes of family to use this knife block.
Design & Final Product
Throughout the whole process the designer is forced to think quick and critical as the time is very limited. The result product is very honest and simple. It was unfortunate that I didn't have enough time to make another unit to show a use case where a family would have more knifes to put on the block.
