What Are You Doing to Your Lungs

With so many anti-smoking campaigns out there, it is difficult to create a powerful message through visuals that has yet been done before. I took on that challenge and conceptualized and created What Are You Doing with Your Lungs, an anti-smoking campaign that utilizes a projector to story-tell.

The advantage of a projector is its ability to display a moving scene. Taking this idea, I created an projection of a pair of burning lungs to suggest the consequences of smoking. The imagery is simple and abstract yet alarming and powerful. With this concept, I found two ways to execute it: projection on body vs on a poster.

Displaying the projection on an actual body makes the scenario relatable to the audience. Whereas, displaying on a poster redefines a traditional format of print materials, by providing movement.
