Double-manual French Harpsichord | replica
Luthiers: Balázs Kováts, Zsolt Szabó
               Claviaton | http://claviaton.hu

The original instrument:
Maker: Pascal Taskin
Date: 1769
Location: The University of Edinburgh, Musical Instrument Museums Edinburgh

The soundboard – as the original Taskin instrument – shows the gilded rose with a harp-playing angel as well as a painted wreath of flowers and a bird on a tree stump. The motif of the bird in the nature is a typical symbol representing life returning. If we have a closer look every flower is a special creation. The floral details are actually exist but not together. One thing is sure, these combined forms are made by the finest sense.
