The Butterfly Pavilion in Broomfield, Colorado is a very cool place. Every now and then they set aside some time where photographers can attend without the normal crowds. These images are from a shoot in May of 2016. I actually got the idea for this shoot when I visited a store solely dedicated to butterflies in Key West, Florida last December. Also gave me a chance to shoot some high frame rate video and they look great in slow motion. Photographing butterflies is a bit like street photography - pick a location and wait to see who shows up.
