Here are some tests I created to review matching camera settings for a lesson I'm working on for integrating vehicles into backdrops.
The blue Corvette Grand Sport is digital. I shot bracketed 360 images and used them to make an .hdri. Technology has evolved so rapidly since my 360 environment capture. At the time, I used an app which allowed me to spin slowly from ground to sky level, while GPS captured and sewed together the frames. (I coin the phrase "pano-dance"!) Now, you can just use a 360 camera that automates this process.
Rendering software: Autodesk VRED Pro. Photoshop was used for some light touchup on the backdrops and composting an ao pass.
