"script and cipher"
A photographer cannot see the own body through a viewfinder; therefor the body becomes the sole other when the photographer is shooting. With such idea, photographed my body; then added another layer of image by scratching the print surface with pins, sometimes graphite drawing and collage.

The act helped me to escape from the idea of subjectivity and led me to submerge myself in the domain of unconscious. Led by the memories, I found primitive human urge, which exceeded the idea of distinction between the good and the bad.

This series consist of 4 works made from 2 negative films.
The photograph work (with pin-scratchings) and collage work each made from same negative film. (script 01 and cipher 01 / script 02 and cipher 02)
