A lot of my clients ask for mascot designs for their website or blog. I'm mostly approached because of my "kawaii" style which means "cute" in Japanese, for those of you who are not too familiar with it. I find it surprising that aside from female clients, I also get male clients as well. So I guess the kawaii style appeals to both men and women. One of the things I enjoy in these commissions is that some clients are pet owners who want a kawaii-fied drawing of their pets. It's both interesting and a challenge to include their pets' distinguishing marks in such a simplified drawing. I'm happy that these clients were all pleased with the work I have done for them.
