Camp Lejeune's 75th Anniversary Video

This short film summarizes the history of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune while also visually explaining its significance and importance it has for the Marines that train here, to the people living in and around the installation and to the American public. This film is important because it also reflects on the installation’s 75th anniversary. From its original development to support the World War II campaign to present day missions overseas, the installation continues to do what it was originally created for: train, support and deploy Marines on behalf of the President of the United States and its citizens.
Not only is this film important for the local community to see what the Marine have done and continue to do within their communities, it is very important to show the general public regardless of location. The Marine Corps is the nations’ 9-1-1 force and its civilians have the right to see what their tax dollars are being spent on. By allowing the viewer to see the Camp Lejeune story and be able to understand it, the film can boost the confidence and patriotism the American public has for its Marines. This also provides an insight to those families that may have a son or daughter stationed at Camp Lejeune.
