LUMINOISE is a mobile app created to provide a new form of privatized communication between individuals. It enhances the understanding of the user's emotions by focusing on capturing their present mood and atmosphere.

Luminoise is accessible through the standard member registration process (upon first time use). Its opening feature is the capture function. It acts as the app's opening screen and is easily navigated with its simple and minimalistic visual cues.
Once the image or audio is captured, users are brought to the customization page (far left) in which they may change color schemes and animation styles. After customizing their Luminoise, users can choose to where they wish to share - friends-only gallery, direct message, or public realm.
When choosing the public realm, users have the option of staying anonymous and pinning locations so that other users may discover their Luminoise when in physical proximity. The public gallery is navigable.
Users may discover others' Luminoises through push notifications that alert the presence of a Luminoise pinned nearby.
Users will spend a majority of their time in the Friends-only dashboard in which they may like and save friends' Luminoises. A users personal gallery will exhibit their history of Luminoises with a simple profile identification.
A few other features include searching IDs for adding friends and hashtags for certain Luminoises, direct messaging, and reminders which help the user reminisce on their past moods and emotions. They might be alerted due to proximity ("You left a Luminoise here before") or time ("A year ago...").
The three hoops represent the three different worlds of Luminoise: Friends-only, Personal Gallery, and Public.
This app was created for the class INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE of the Fall of 2016 and was idealized with team members Christine McGahhey and Phu Nguyen. All design work presented was created by Hyunna Yoo.
