I played a smaller role on this- mostly in sound, modeling, texturing, and concept art.
Fire Effect
I was in charge of doing the fire effects for this animation. The fire was created in Houdini. Earlier tests of the fire were more realistic and did not fit in well with the rest of the animation's style, so after rendering out I edited the fire in After Effects to create the more stylized effect seen in the final animation. Below are some test renders of various fire styles that I tried out.
