Book developed by the whole group filled with the risograph printed collages.
Here on the right is the my other collage that was put into the booklet.
On the left side is the one of my collages that was printed into the booklet, unfortunately there's no colour been printed onto the collages. It would have been interesting to see how the colour could have changed the overall appearance of the collage.
Second collage ready for printing. The texture created from the prints has made this collage particularly effective as the simplistic shapes highlight the strength of the textures.
First collage ready for printing.
One of my final collage ideas, I particularly like the different levels of figure and ground.
Generating some collage ideas using my prints and a selection that the group made, to be printed in a book on the risograph.
Final print.
The ink residue on the surface, showing where the ink had been pressed onto the paper.
By drawing over the stencils it enabled the ink to pick up onto the paper, when using this method I discovered you need to be particularly careful when drawing as the paper will pick up the ink wherever there is pressure placed.
To create the design, I used this pattern on both the top and bottom of my print. As it was particularly effective in framing the bird in the middle.
Setting up my own print station, opting for the black ink.
In the process of preparing the printing stations.
