As Raising Steam was soon to be launched I discovered during a conversation among friends that I had forgotten much of the Discworld lore. In an attempt to regain it, I embarked on a re-read which took me the better part of 1½ year.

I quickly discovered that there were several different reading maps out there, none of which I felt was exactly right. And with that I took it upon myself to make one of my own, where each book is depicted by a unique icon somehow loosely related to the story.

As I finally concluded Raising Steam however my notes were nothing less than a spider web of straight, dotted and colored lines. I now understand why the existing maps aren’t “exactly” right, it just gets too messy and with little gain I must admit.

Since most of the icons were already finished when I forfeited the idea of a map I figured this to be a nice place to at least present each piece by itself.
