With a school project last year, we had to create our own business and it's branding. This was done in a small group of 4 people. The name "Elkemy" was chosen because of the 2 words: "Elk" and "Alchemy". The word and animal "Elk" was used to symbolize that we are proud of what we do and that we take a project heads on. The word "Alchemy" was used to symbolize that working with a client is a process where all the ideas and designs etc are thrown in to create something new. 

The logo is interesting since everyone sees something else. We at first designed it to look like a meteor that is going trough the earth's ozone layer. This was to symbolize that we do boundary breaking design. Other people see a flask with liquid, or a sideways "E". We liked the fact that it is such a dynamic logo so we let it be like it is.
