Exploring materiality and fabrication with clear plastic tubing and fishing wire. The cut pieces of tube, without any sort of manipulation were tough and broke several needles as I tried to push them through. I manipulated the elasticity and give of the tubes by soaking them in boiling water for several minutes and immediately piercing them with needle and wire. The tubes were sewn together in a grid form to achieve the fabric-like quality.
The fabric is very malleable and has great potential in ethereal lighting purposes.
