BMVBS Webspecial - How to save energy by reconstructing

Startpage - the user can choose a house which is pretty close to the one he really lives in.
After choosing "his" house the user can modify the choosen house by preselecting the measurements he already did. That leads to a close result of costs and savings in the end.
Every reconstructing action is explained by an animation. Here we see easy it is to sanify the rooftop.
After the animation the user can get into detail or just replay the animation
Because we know that users don't like too much copy on the net, every measurement is explained addtionally by graphic.
E.g. house front animation. Did you recognize that the savings (Ihr Einsparpotenzial) increased?

(Interactive Application)

For a German ministry I created this application website as the digital part of a big integrated campaign that communicates the programme of house sanifying and CO2 saving of the German Government in 2008 and became a reconstructing expert.

The idea
Rooftop, basement, windows, heating, solar energy and front: with six simple reconstruction measures around the house it is very easy to save energy, CO2 and money and make the world a better place. On this website the user learns in a very demonstrative way how to reconstruct his house and how much CO2 and money can be saved by the single actions. With real data! All the calculations are proved by the Fraunhofer Institute, so the result that can be downloaded in the end of the journey can be used as a real guideline for further actions.

My part
Idea and concept development, interaction design, copywriting.
