Proposal for graphic design contest

The graphic concept is inspired by the geometrical shapes that decorate the facades of historical monuments and romanic churches in Pistoia city centre, with the contrast created by green and white marbles; for this reason we designed a (typo)graphic artifact that resumes textual declinations of a visual and cultural “system” of one of the most famous city in Tuscany. In the symbolic alphabet we have designed every single glyph that can be considered as a authentic decoration belonging to a whole thing and together create the identity of the city. The different combinations allow the logotype to be dynamic and look fresh every time. The glyphs are to be considered as elements of a bigger architecture and when they come together they are able to create the city's identity. This design finally renders an ever changing and dynamic logotype that will look fresh every time.
