This is Hari Krishna, former student of Acharya Nagarjuna university college of architecture and planning.
The Acharya Nagarjuna University campus 20 Kms away from Vijayawada, It is spread across an area of 299 acres and is a microcosm of sorts. Serene and pleasant as it may seem with its green environs, a first time visitor may be overwhelmed, trying to find his/her way around the campus. Take a stroll during admissions; as an insider you will face various queries from students and their parents (Where is so and so? How to get to so and so? ) Most of the times I could not answer those queries. Embarrassing? Extremely! Why don't we have a signage? All universities around the world have proper signage and campus maps to guide. Should I simply crib about the problem? Solution: Make a campus map.
Did Nagarjuna Universirty have a Campus Map? Yes, it did. But I thought we could improve it on many aspects , be it content, representation and usability. With this in mind ,began the my journey of redesigning the Universirty campus map making it more comprehensible.
