This is a conceptual project about big corporations and their role in country's identity.
One way big brands are trying to connect with people is by the appropriation and portrayal of their cultural values and shared traditions as their own. This, when taken to the extreme can be a very empty and hypocritical use of a country's heritage. History is not meant to be sold and it should't be connected to any type of brand or corporation.
On these photomontages I tried to materialize my disagreement in a more shocking and direct way and hopefully raise some awareness about this subject. I've used some of Portugal's most iconic landmarks and gave them a "branding makeover".
