"We were grateful for the opportunity to create something that we are not familiar with at all. Illustrating an kamasutra-themed artwork was challenging for us, as we usually do not work in a sensual context. Therefor it was clear to us from the beginning, that we will not draw anything sexy or primarily erotic.

When we do artwork, we like it to be interpreted in many ways - we hope that every viewer can read it in his or her own way. That given, the idea of erotic artwork bored us because there is only 1 way of interpretation.
Our goal was to draw a pleasent and intimidating moment, that hopefully most people can emphasize with.

What we liked about the thunderbolt position was the kind of silence and eternity - something slow that could last forever. Which surprised us, because we initially thought about sport when it comes to kamasutra."
