The Slow Planner book design - The slow planner is a unique product from Hungary. This is a planner / journal concept thats aims to find solutions for the hurried world we live in. The slow ambassador and the founder of Slow Budapest, Nelli Krajcsó wanted to help people to find a natural, joyful tempo in their lives so the planner inspires and helps us spend more intimate moments with our family and friends and more time on the things we like. It was a honorific task when she asked me to illustrate and design the whole book with 3 different covers. Nelli advised to draw a main character, who appears here and there in the planner. The sloth seemed to be a good idea. The design concept was to draw everything manual, with brush and black ink. Then I digitalized the drawings and colored in Photoshop. Every month got a color-combination of 3 or maximum 4 colours, this way we could separate them from each other and give every month a unique mood. At the beginning of a month you need to choose a task. The calendar helps focus on the important things in life that normally don't get space in our planners because of our long and urgent to do list. It is kind of a coaching journal that can help the user build self-knowledge while having fun. Every week have a seasonal vegetable / fruit proposal and they also contain funny feast days to celebrate. And a lot of funny stickers were made as well for every piece. I had to illustrate almost every page with a lot of tiny details, and the time was limited. I asked a very good colleague, Annamária Heinrich to help me draw so it was much easier to finalize it in a way I imagined at the beginning. This 230 page long calendar was printed onto recycled paper in 4000 copies in two different sizes. We saved almost 25 trees! :) Read Less
