KALANGGAMAN ISLAND, PHILIPPINES

Kalanggaman Island (also spelt "Calanggaman") is a small island located east of Palompon, Leyte. It is about an hour boat ride from the coast of Palompon municipality. The word "Langgam" in Tagalog means "Ant," but in Bisaya, it means "Bird." The island is named "Kalanggaman" not because there are a lot of birds in the island, but because the island is shaped like a bird. In November 12, 2016, I visited the island with the new friends I made, and this is what I saw:
