'Eternal Cycle' Jiu Jitsu poster
The posters shows an intertwining torus knot in the form of and endless snake. Jiu jitsu is a fluid, constantly dynamic sport where two opponents often find themselves with their limbs entangled in sometimes impossible positions during ground fighting (newaza). They have to use their skills to force the other competitor into submission with joint locks, chokes and other various holds. The colors represent the belt system that jiu jitsu affiliations use to differentiate practitioners based on their skill level: It starts from white, then blue, purple, brown and finally black. With years of training and wearing it the black belt eventually will fade to white again thereby completing the eternal cycle.
