    El Malpensante magazine in Colombia asked me to come up with three illustrations that'd accompany a Spanish translation of an article by Joan Acocella originally published by The New Yorker entitled 'A Few Too Many: is there any hope for the hung over?' My first thought was to avoid obvious representations of alcohol like empty bottles or broken cocktail glasses and rather focus on the morning-after effects of drinking too much and the ways people usually refer to them, being "I want to rip off my head" or "My brain is about to explode" some of the most common. The series was awarded by American Illustration and 3x3 Magazine (Silver Prize) on 2011. Read Less
