A Wondrous Bag – Event follow up

After the A Wondrous Climb event we were asked by Foundation National Monument Saint John to come up with an event follow-up. Our mission was not to design/produce a new product. Not only because budget was limited, but we felt it did not fit the nature of the project.

Services: Art Direction, Eco Design, Social Design

Outcome
We made this sturdy bags from the existing vinyl advertising banners of A Wondrous Climb event. In collaboration with (eco)fashion designer Ellen Willink these bags are hand made by people with a distance to the labor market. Within the social workplace these people are given tasks according to their individual needs and skills, gaining work-experience and contributing meaningfully with supervision and guidance. Each of the bags has a unique design.

Impact
Following the success of the event, the bags were immediately sold out.
